Board Training Seminar, March 10

Want to serve on a local Board of Directors? Learn what it takes to be a valuable board member.


Ever considered serving on a Board of Directors?  Want to know what to expect or what's expected of you before you step up and volunteer? 

 

There are many nonprofits in our community that rely on a volunteer Board of Directors, including Kootenai County Young Professionals.  This educational seminar, presented by KCYP in conjuntion with United Way of Kootenai County, is designed to prepare young professionals for serving on a local board.  It will provide information on board member responsibilities, what makes a board member valuable, and how you can get involved on a board. 

 

This seminar is free for KCYP members and priority registration will be given to members.  Non-members will be charged $10.  RSVP is required and attendance will be capped.

KCYP Announces 3rd Annual Volunteer Fair April 28, 2010


Our volunteer fair will feature more than 40 non-profit organizations in the community, all of which rely heavily on volunteers to provide important services to the region.  Attendees will be able to visit each booth and speak to representatives from the non-profits to learn more about what each organization does for the community and what kinds of tasks they need volunteers to provide.


If you've been looking for that perfect volunteer opportunity, mark your calendar and don't miss the KCYP Volunteer Fair!

 

This event is free for everyone and open to the public.
